Cheltenham Flower Club

Two Cheltenham Flower Club members had success at the recent show;  Paula Harper together with her husband won best in show with her entry in “Orange is the Colour”. Club President Rosemary Stammers received a 1st, a 2nd, two very highly commendeds, and one commended in the five classes that she entered.

89 members and 9 visitors gave National Demonstrator Tony a standing ovation.  His show stopping arrangements left the club spellbound and longing to explore his “secret garden”.  Thanks to Pat Jacques for her foyer flowers, Geraldine Prosser for her vote of thanks and all other helpers.

The club summer competition “Pretty in Pink” was won by Di Roe with Jan Mallett as runner-up, the novices class was won by Vicki Atherton.

76 members and 15 visitors were thoroughly entertained watching this superb National Demonstrator.  Thanks to Di Roe for her foyer flowers, and Heather Peacey for her vote of thanks.  As always special thanks to all the members who help the committee put the demonstration on, Chairman Caroline especially thanked Margaret Taylor who after years of helping and serving the club in a variety of capacities, is finally retiring from running the Sales Table.

81 members and 8 visitors enjoyed Anne’s unique arrangements and her suggestions for alternatives to floral foam.

Thanks to Judith Daws for her foyer flower arrangements, to Pat Jacques for her vote of thanks, and to the other members who helped at the demonstration.  Apologies for the issues experienced by some members with the car park machine, sadly this is down to Cheltenham Borough Council and despite their best efforts there appears to be nothing further that the committee can do to resolve this.

84 members and 16 visitors, gave Elizabeth a well deserved standing ovation for her innovative and spectacular arrangements.
