Christmas Demonstration

91 Members and 32 Visitors gave National Demonstrator Elizabeth Graham a standing ovation for her magical demonstration “Season’s Greetings”.  Many thanks to everybody who braved the appalling weather to attend our last meeting of the year.  Thank you to President Rosemary Stammers for her Foyer Flowers, to Visitor Kate Daws for her help with the demonstration and vote of thanks, and to everybody including the Town Hall Staff for making the meeting a success.

November Meeting

After all of the upheaval of the last minute closure of the Pump Room, the committee were delighted to welcome 87 members and 21 visitors to our temporary venue inside Cheltenham Town Hall.  Many thanks to everybody who came to the Pillar Room and helped make the afternoon such a success.

Sharon Dower’s demonstration “What Now” was enjoyed by everybody present, her tales of competition entries in exotic locations entertained us, our only sadness was that this was her last “flower club” demonstration.

Many thanks to Christine Ramsey for her Vote of Thanks and to Judith Daws for her Foyer Flowers.  Thank you to everybody who assisted at the demonstration and in particular to the Town Hall Staff who made the club welcome at short notice.

Venue change for November and December Meetings

It is now confirmed that due to the temporary closure of the Pittville Pump Room, our November and December demonstrations will be held in The Pillar Room, Cheltenham Town Hall, GL50 1QA.

The committee has secured the Pavilion at Hatherley for all meetings from January 2024 onwards – details to follow.

Pump Room Closure

As reported in the press the Pittville Pump Room closed today for health and safety reasons, we are working with the Cheltenham Trust to re-locate the November and December meetings, all members will be contacted by email or telephone as soon as these meetings are finalised, much valued visitors please “watch this space”.

Change of Venue Confirmed

As our members are aware, The Cheltenham Trust who run the Pump Room for Cheltenham Borough Council, are no longer supporting charities, clubs or what they consider “community lets”, therefore we will have to leave our home at Pittville Pump Room after December 2023.

The committee have secured the Pavilion, Hatherley for all meetings from January 2024 onwards.  Postcode GL51 6PN,  the website will be updated soon to include the new location details.

October Meeting

What a fantastic meeting!  86 members and 12 visitors gave demonstrator Robin White a very well deserved standing ovation for his “Art is the Flower, Life is the Green Leaf” demonstration.  Robin’s arrangements were fantastic, and his funny anecdotes kept everybody enthralled and entertained, we just didn’t want the demonstration to end.

Many thanks to Jenny Lawrence for her Vote of Thanks, Doreen Parsons for her Foyer Flowers and all other members who helped the committee stage this lively meeting.

Robin kindly judged our autumn “Spooktacular” competition with first place being awarded jointly to Rosemary Stammers and Wendy Lawrence, thanks to everybody who competed.
