August 2026 Demonstration by Joanna Davis “Blooming Women”

68 Members and 6 Visitors attended this “Extra” demonstration and were transported with an entertaining stroll through the years learning about the many influential ladies in flowers and horticulture while listening to an array of genres of music.

Thanks must go to our Honorary President Rosemary Stammers for her beautiful foyer flowers – Sue Yoxall for her Vote of Thanks  and the many people who help at the demonstrations and support the club.

July 2026 Demonstration “A Floral Dance” by Sarah Fenton

64 Members and 4 visitors gave Sarah a standing ovation in appreciation of her fun and informative  demonstration showcasing a lovely variety of flowers and foliage as she took us on a floral dance.

Thanks must go to Di Roe for stepping in at the last minute and providing beautiful foyer flowers,  Jenny Lawrence for her Vote of Thanks and all the many helpers and volunteers who make the monthly meeting possible.

RHS Badminton Flower Show Thursday 9th July

11 Ladies enjoyed a fabulous day out. Plants were bought, wine was drunk and an informative fun talk by Adam Frost completed a very hot day. Thank you ladies for braving the heat and supporting your club.

June 2026 Demonstration “Six Lives” by Louisa Rigden

59 Members and 9 Visitors gave Louisa a well deserved standing ovation for taking us on a journey through Tudor England and the wives of Henry VIII. Louisa’s arrangements were spectacular and her talk both on her Tudor subject and on her recent National Demonstrator test were entertaining and informative.

Thanks to Winifred Silver for her Foyer Flowers, Kath Holt for her Vote of Thanks and all the volunteers and helpers.  Special thanks go to committee member Dru Lambert and her team, (Chris Hyett, Sue Wood,  Fran Hobbs & Liz Barnes), who arranged the stunning container sale which raised nearly £160 for the club.

“Holidays, Food & the Hot Sun” – a demonstration by Leena Patel

73 members and 4 visitors were transported to warmer climes by Leena with her entertaining demonstration.

Thanks to committee member Di Roe for her foyer flowers, to member Jenny Bennett for her vote of thanks and to all the volunteers who helped stage another successful demonstration.

Members brought in vases & baskets ready for next month’s great container bring & buy sale many thanks to Liz and Fran for helping committee member Dru with this and grateful thanks to the families of members who have donated items.

Members signed up for the forthcoming outings to Badminton RHS show and the club visit to “John’s Garden” at Ashwood Nurseries, there are still places available, please contact a committee member.

 

Meeting & Demonstration Monday, 13th April 2026

81 Members and 10 Visitors, welcomed demonstrator Alison Suffolk back to Cheltenham Flower Club.  Alison took us on a journey along the Bournemouth Coast with her entertaining demonstration – “Oh So Nautical”.

Alison kindly judged the club floral competition “Springtime in a Mug” – congratulations and thanks to everybody who took part.  Open Class was a well deserved win for Dru Lambert and the Novice Class Cup went to Oliver McAnerney.

Members registered their interest in proposed trips to; RHS Badminton Flower Show, John’s Garden, and 3C&SW NAFAS Area Day.

Competition winner Dru Lambert presented Honorary President Rosemary Stammers with a bouquet of locally sourced flowers from the 8 delegates who had attended and appreciated her recent workshop “Get Ready to Compete”.
