“Holidays, Food & the Hot Sun” – a demonstration by Leena Patel

73 members and 4 visitors were transported to warmer climes by Leena with her entertaining demonstration.

Thanks to committee member Di Roe for her foyer flowers, to member Jenny Bennett for her vote of thanks and to all the volunteers who helped stage another successful demonstration.

Members brought in vases & baskets ready for next month’s great container bring & buy sale many thanks to Liz and Fran for helping committee member Dru with this and grateful thanks to the families of members who have donated items.

Members signed up for the forthcoming outings to Badminton RHS show and the club visit to “John’s Garden” at Ashwood Nurseries, there are still places available, please contact a committee member.

 

Meeting & Demonstration Monday, 13th April 2026

81 Members and 10 Visitors, welcomed demonstrator Alison Suffolk back to Cheltenham Flower Club.  Alison took us on a journey along the Bournemouth Coast with her entertaining demonstration – “Oh So Nautical”.

Alison kindly judged the club floral competition “Springtime in a Mug” – congratulations and thanks to everybody who took part.  Open Class was a well deserved win for Dru Lambert and the Novice Class Cup went to Oliver McAnerney.

Members registered their interest in proposed trips to; RHS Badminton Flower Show, John’s Garden, and 3C&SW NAFAS Area Day.

Competition winner Dru Lambert presented Honorary President Rosemary Stammers with a bouquet of locally sourced flowers from the 8 delegates who had attended and appreciated her recent workshop “Get Ready to Compete”.

“Out of Africa” demonstration by Jenny York

79 Members and 8 Visitors attended the first demonstration of 2026.  The Club delighted in welcoming Jenny York who entertained everybody with her accounts of living and working in Africa.  Her flowers were vibrant and varied.  Thanks to Jane Beard for her lovely Foyer Flowers, Jill Hetherington for her Vote of Thanks and to all the volunteers who helped the committee to stage the demonstration.

“Myths, Mincet & Merriment” our Christmas Demonstration

Over 100 members and visitors were enchanted by Katherine Kear’s magical demonstration.  She received a well deserved standing ovation and a heartfelt vote of thanks from Christine Ramsey.  Special thanks go to committee member Elizabeth Sales for her wonderful mince pies, President Rosemary Stammers for her Foyer Flowers and all of the Volunteers and Committee members who helped stage such a wonderful afternoon.

November Demonstration – “Anything Goes” by Donald Morgan

72 Members and 9 Visitors gave Donald well deserved standing ovation, Donald’s use of colour made his vibrant arrangements a joy to see.  His anecdotes of demonstrating and competing in the floral world thoroughly entertained his audience and we all wish him well in his forthcoming National Demonstrator Tests.
